Plenty of people braved the cold for a dip in Mosquito Lake Saturday. It was all for a good cause.
Mosquito Lake was the site for the annual Polar Plunge, a fundraiser for Special Olympics Ohio.
Along with jumping in the lake, participants were also challenged to raise funds for Special Olympics.
With temperatures in the 20s, conditions were just right for the plunge.
"It was cold and I couldn't feel anything the minute I put my feet in there," said participant Alex Bell.
Saturday's event kicks off the Ohio Polar Bear Plunge season as one of nine plunges to be held throughout the winter months
