High Winds Knock Down Power Lines and Tree Limbs

A late afternoon thunderstorm on Tuesday caused high winds, which knocked down a tree on Maplewood Drive in Struthers.

The tree brought down two poles and there were wires laying in the road and on the sidewalk.

Police said the area of Maplewood Drive and 7th Street is closed while Ohio Edison replaces the pole and wiring.

Also, a car was damaged and the front proch of a home was crushed on Shirley Rd. in Youngstown after a large tree limb came down on the property.
