January 2012 turned out to be a wet one. The month had a grand total of 4.51 inches of precipitation which made it 1.96 inches above normal. It was not enough precipitation to push January 2012 into the top-ten list. We would have needed to reach 4.88 inches to make it into that list.
The wettest day was on the 17th with 0.59 inches of precipitation. We had either rain or snow on 24 days during the month. We saw some sort of precipitation on 77% of the days during the month!
