As the hot temperatures hang around, people are coming up with all kinds of creative ways to stay cool.
Some children on Youngstown's south side got help Thursday from the fire department. Kids attending a religious camp at St. Patrick Church took a break to beat the heat.
Dozens ran through spraying water provided by the Youngstown Fire Department. Fire fighters said they do this several times throughout the summer as part of their community outreach program.
After that stop, they said they had a couple left before heading back to the station.
