Storms ripped across the area overnight, downing trees and causing some quick flooding.
In Girard, rushing water ripped up sidewalks and caused storm drains to backup leaving debris on the roadways. Standing water was seen along roadways but quickly cleared.
Lightning struck a tree across from the Girard Golf Dome leaving tree branches on the road.
Similar damage was reported across the area, but no injuries have been reported.
Flooding did force the Mahoning Education Service Center to close pre-school at their YSU site for Thursday.
