Another Bout of Wintry Weather Hitting Valley

Columbiana County is under a winter storm warning effective until 10 a.m. Tuesday. The National Weather Service is forecasting a six- to nine-inch snow accumulation through Tuesday morning.

Trumbull, Mahoning, Mercer and Lawrence counties are under a winter storm advisory.

As of 9:30 p.m. Monday, roughly two inches of snow had falling in Youngstown. The National Weather Service is forecasting snow continuing overnight with an additional three to five inches of snowfall by morning. The heaviest is expected south of Youngstown to Marion line.

The snow is expected to taper off Tuesday morning as the low moves off to the Atlantic coast. Driving conditions could be difficult.
