My name is Ryne Slater. I took these photos this past Tuesday, (February 2, 2010), in Mahoningtown (New Castle, Pa.) I was crossing the Cherry St. bridge when I noticed these beautiful ice formations below in the Beaver River. I took the photos with a Nikon Coolpix L100 digital camera. I put them together as a video using "Windows Movie Maker". The next day when I returned to get more photos, the ice had melted and they were gone. I was just in the right place at the right time the day before. I hope that everyone enjoys them as much as I have. I have never been a fan of winter, but this moment in time may have changed my mind about that.
